Agreement for Environmental Improvement between NUML University Mirpur and Anjuman-e-Falaha-o-Behbood Insaniyat.

An important memorandum of understanding was signed between NUML University Mirpur and Anjuman-e-Falaha-o-Behbood Insaniyat for the promotion of environmental protection and tree plantation. The aim of this agreement is to take effective measures at the local level in the context of the threats faced by climate change and to expose the young generation to an environmentally friendly mindset. The agreement signing ceremony was held at the New City on the campus of NUML University, in which Regional Director NUML Mirpur Professor Col (retd) Tahir Najeeb, faculty members Professor Sarmad Shafiq, Professor Maryam Azad and Anjuman-e-Falaha-o-Behbood Admin Officer Munir Abdul Majid , Jahangir Mughal, Media Advisor Zahoor Rashid participated. On this occasion, Professor Colonel Tahir Najeeb expressed his determination that NUML University, in collaboration with Anjuman-e-Falaha-o-Behbood Insaniyat, will not only promote the tree plantation campaign but will also organize seminars, awareness walks and training workshops to raise environmental awareness among students. The agreement was signed by Professor Maryam Azad on behalf of NUML University and Admin Officer Jahangir Mughal on behalf of Anjuman-e-Falaha-o-Behbood Insaniyat. According to the university administration, under this agreement, tree plantation will be adopted as a regular activity on the campus at the institutional level, while students will be made aware of topics such as eco-friendly planning, carbon footprint reduction, and environmental justice. This initiative will also instill a sense of responsibility among the youth to become responsible citizens. This partnership is not only a practical step for the betterment of the environment but is also a positive step towards character building and intellectual maturity of the youth.
